Philosophy

KIDS Care school age programs provide a safe place where children are cared for with warmth and compassion assuring that each child is supported to be the best they can be. We will always represent ourselves as honest role models and embrace a positive approach through all our activities.

Program Goals

• To provide all children in our care with an environment that is safe, one in which they feel supported, cared for and most of all, a place they can have fun.

• To increase the physical fitness and self awareness in all children.

• To strengthen the interpersonal and social skills of all children.

• To foster an appreciation for diversity.

• To complement and integrate the children’s experiences through programming.

 

Schedule and Activities

KIDS Before (6:30-8:15 a.m) and After School (2:55-5:30 p.m.) Care runs from September - June and follows the School Calendar year

Time	Morning Schedule
6:30 - 8:15 a.m.	Students can have their breakfast at the centre before choosing an activity for themselves or join in any group activity.
	Afternoon Schedule
2:55 - 3:00 p.m.	Students sign-in and put belonging away and get ready for a snack
3:00 - 3:15 p.m.	Snack time
3:15 - 3:45 p.m.	Physical Activity - Games, playground, gym facilitated or un-facilitated
3:45 - 4:15 p.m.	Older students are provided quiet time to do their homework and younger children are offered some worksheets or books
4:15 - 5:00 p.m.	Arts and crafts

 

Closed statutory holidays and holidays and summer months during school closure.

HOW TO Book your Child For Morning and After-School Care

                                                   Simply go to stmichaels.hotlunches.net                                                                  

This is the same application for our hotlunch program which is why the link reads hotlunches.net

If you are already registered, select the ORDERS tab. (Please note that the system is reset each September)

If you have not done so, please register your child/children by selecting REGISTER on the top menu bar

Create a family account by using the SCHOOL ACCESS CODE: SMHL

Add members to your family under the STUDENT tab

Select the STUDENT ORDERS tab

Click on order in the Out of School Care section and book morning or afterschool for each child separately.

 

We now accept digital payments only - no cheques. You can pay on-line (using your credit card through Bambora) or by e-transfer to etransfer.smt@cisnd.ca
