Our Vision
The vision of the Little Saints Program is to preserve and protect childhood. We know, and research proves, that young children are born equipped to learn from the world around them through authentic hands-on experience and play. We also know that connection is the key. We have to get to know children and their parents to develop a trusting relationship that can then truly best support and guide them. We will use a heart-centred approach that is guided by our faith.
Play is the best vehicle for learning. We know that children need to be active participants in their own learning. Our child-led approach is a way of being with and learning alongside children that focuses on relationships, individualized care, meeting children where they are, and supporting their process of learning.
Our classrooms are home-like spaces with cozy places to be alone, in small groups or together as an entire classroom community. We believe that offering authentic homelike environments full of rich open-ended materials will promote creative play, social-emotional development, and critical thinking skills. Our classrooms are designed to promote optimal joy and learning by including science/nature, mark making, language/literacy, math, block/construction, and art-based play that children are free to discover through touch and exploration.
