Parent Information

Friends of St. Michael's (FOSM)

St Michael’s parent support group is called Friends of St Michael’s - FOSM.

We are proud of the parent involvement at St. Michael’s School.  Parents have the privilege of being involved in ways that encourage a higher quality of education and a greater community atmosphere.  Being involved shows a sense of duty and commitment to your child's education and ownership in what happens within the school.  Your involvement is also a testimony to your child on their importance to you and an example to them of service to others.

Volunteer Opportunities

Every school year, each family will be required to volunteer a minimum of 12 hours as part of the registration obligations.  It is important that the volunteer time is fulfilled to help offset operational costs.

St. Michael's offers a variety of volunteer opportunities. Assistance in classrooms, building and maintenance, fundraising events, spring and fall clean-up, are only a few of the opportunities available to parents to help keep our school running.

Should you have a special skill to offer, please contact the school.

Fundraising Opportunities

Fundraising brings in over $12, 000 a year for important improvements to the school grounds and school initiatives.  Money raised by fundraising allow our tuition payments to stay low.

St. Michael's has a variety of much needed fundraising opportunities.  Bakes Sales Bottle Drives, Purdy's Chocolates, Poinsettia Sales, the annual Gala event are opportunities to raise funds.

We welcome your suggestions for future fundraising ideas.  Contact the Chair of FOSM to share your ideas.
